We’ve been too quiet here recently but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy! We had Pontefract Music festival in April and Cleethorpes music festival in July. Later in July we held our 20th anniversary concert which raised £1300 for our funds! We finished July off with a superb quartet day organised by one of our quartets, Unique, who used the money they received from the Dorothy Bosley award to benefit the other quartets within our chorus.
In September we took part in the Forever Young festival at Grimston Court Care home which we thoroughly enjoyed despite the pouring rain all day!
A couple of weeks later we had a full day rehearsal, with coaching from Tim Briggs which was most enjoyable and now we have just 5 weeks left until LABBS convention in Harrogate, but first some of our quartets will be competing at Holmfirth Music Festival!
Lots to look forward to including another trip to the Spanish Convention in April – we’re very excited to be going there again!
